Getting Started
The Kidde Wireless System is easy to install and only involves a few simple steps. The first step is to determine what type of smoke alarms are currently in your home:
battery powered, hardwired,
or
interconnected
.
Select the one that fits your home's current setup:
Battery-powered smoke alarms
- have no protruding wires and are battery powered.
Hardwired smoke alarms
- have up to three wires in back. When you press the test button on one alarm, only that alarm will sound.
Interconnected smoke alarms
- have up to three wires in back. When you press the test button on one alarm, all alarms will sound.
